About June

June led the Salford Respiratory Team to win the British Thoracic Society inaugural award for Integrated Respiratory Care and Nursing Times, Respiratory Team of The Year. She was a previous member of the Primary Care Respiratory Society Executive Committee, a trainer for Education for Health and was joint NHS England lead for the North West Respiratory programme that developed the COPD patient passport. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic she has led implementation of a COVID-19 virtual ward, oximetry@home and long COVID-19 services.

She has published widely and is the author of both COPD at your fingertips and Managing Breathlessness in the Community. June’s research interests focus on real life and quality improvement. She was a member of the study design and governance groups for the Salford Lung Study and is currently site lead investigator for the national evaluation of COVID-19 oximetry@home and patient experience studies.
